Zahid Hasan Shovon is a Young Professional at a2i Programme. Currently, as registered Team Leader and Lead Engineer, he leads “Lunar Satellite Project” under NASA’s GLEE Mission, implemented in Bangladesh upon the government-academia-industry collaboration amongst a2i, BSMRAAU and Walton. Under his engineering leadership, Bangladesh has successfully developed and tested its first satellite inside Walton’s ISO Class 7 Cleanroom Research Facility. He graduated in Computer Science from Leeds Trinity University with 1st Class Honours (Distinction: CGPA 4.00 out of 4.00), accredited by British Computer Society (BCS). As BAC’s STEM Club President, he fostered strong R&I culture and coordinated media partnership with Somoy TV and Dhaka FM 90.4. He led “Team 10-Dreamers” to develop a human-driven rover, ranking 11th globally in the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2021. He commanded a Metropolitan Scout Unit with the highest scout rank “Service Badge” and earned 1st Runner Up Position in the BCSIR Science Fair.
