Mohammad Abdur Rahim, BPAA, has an impressive career of over 14 years with a strong focus on Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health, Adolescent & Reproductive Health, Nutrition, Education and Innovation in service delivery. Recently, he has worked as Deputy Program Manager (DPM), MIS Unit in the Directorate General of Family Planning, Dhaka. He had been the focal person of MIS Operation Plan, Network & Connectivity.
Previously, as the head of Upazila Family Planning Office, he had been engaged in diversified activities like planning, monitoring, implementing and evaluating different government programs. He also worked with different NGOs and international organizations like UNICEF, UNFPA, USAID etc.
As an enthusiastic team leader, he developed “Maternal Death Free Kapasia Model” which significantly reduced maternal mortality to almost zero. This initiative earned him the recognition of “Best Innovator” by MoPA. He was crowned with the most prestigious “Public Administration Award 2020”. It also earned international recognition as “The Best Practice of Bangladesh” by Partners in Population and Development (PPD).
